Meet us at 10th & Broadway downtown at 10:35 A.M. to welcome the ZooToo representatives as they drive by on their way to the shelter! Many downtown businesses will be participating and we want to line Broadway with people in blue ZooToo (or any blue) shirts to show our support.

The ZooToo representatives will be driven through downtown by a donated trolley-car from White Knight Coach & Limo. This event will only take a few minutes; they will drive by on Broadway and as soon as we see them coming, all we need to do is start waving and cheering; that's it!

Meet at 10th & Broadway and we will spread out along Broadway east & west from there.

Phase 1 is complete with CMHS in 1st place (!). Now in Phase 2, ZooToo.com representatives will be visiting the top 20 shelters from Phase 1 to choose 10 shelters to progress to Phase 3 for a public vote to win the million-dollar prize!

Our ZooToo.com representative called us to say he will be coming to Columbia to visit the shelter on THURSDAY, MARCH 19th (that's this coming Thursday!) at 10:30 AM. White Knight Coach & Limo has volunteered to donate their services to transport him, the members of the CMHS Board, Mayor Darwin Hindman, and a few other local leaders in their trolley-car from the Columbia Regional Airport to the shelter for the shelter tour.

THEY WILL BE PASSING THROUGH DOWNTOWN, HEADING DOWN BROADWAY AT 10:45 AM on THURSDAY, MARCH 19th, and we need your help!!

We want to LINE THE STREETS with people wearing their blue ZooToo.com shirts (or any blue shirts) and holding up CMHS/Blue for ZooToo signs showing our support for the ZooToo representative's visit.

HE WILL BE *THE* KEY PLAYER IN DECIDING WHETHER OR NOT WE MOVE ON TO PHASE 3 toward the $1,000,000 top prize, so we have to do everything we can to make him feel welcome and to show him how much our community supports the Central Missouri Humane Society!

So WRITE IT DOWN and SPREAD THE WORD, that's BLUE ON BROADWAY at 10:45 AM on Thursday, March 19th! Please WEAR BLUE, come DOWNTOWN, and LINE BROADWAY to show your support when you see the trolley coming!

Central Missouri Humane Society shelter IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE "BLUE! on Broadway" EVENT!, 616 Big Bear Blvd, Columbia, MO, United States (MAP)
We will be welcoming the ZooToo representatives as they tour our shelter to decide whether or not we get to progress to Phase 3 of the contest (into the Top 10).

*Immediately following* the "BLUE! on Broadway" event, we will be migrating to the shelter for a big welcome there. At the shelter, we will have some speeches, music, and lots of people wearing blue to show our support! After BLUE! on Broadway, please meet us at the shelter! The representatives should be arriving at about 10:50 A.M.

This weekend is Joe Machens Raffle event for CMHS. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. this Saturday! Please consider stopping by with your family or foster dogs to enjoy this event. Anyone is eligible to win the car as long as you have bought a ticket! We must sell 700 tickets in order for the car to be raffled. In the case that we do not sell all 700 tickets, we will pull a raffle ticket number and the winner will get 1/2 of the proceeds and CMHS will get the other half of the proceeds.

Updated info April 28th, 2009 -

You must be present to win unless you live 150+ miles away from Columbia. These rules are Joe Machens for the raffle, not the Central Missouri Humane Society's. Tickets can be purchased at Joe Machens and at the shelter. Furthermore, if the minimum # of tickets are not sold, ½ of the proceeds will be awarded to the winning raffle ticket and the remainder will be donated to CMHS.

Both of these rules are listed boldly on the Joe Machens tickets.
It is important to note that this event is a third party friend and fundraiser for the shelter; we are gracious for the opportunity to raise whatever monies we can for our organization.
